Recent World Fiction
taught by Vincent Hernot
This module deals with the various ways in which World novelists have, in the recent past, portrayed and commented on modern sensibilities and social or cultural issues. Problems of historical backgrounding and epistemology are raised. It is felt that prospective teachers in general and IDEE students in particular may benefit from a wide exposure to culturally diverse views, as given expression in fiction, on the world we live in.
